Troop 365's Chartered Organization is Heartsong Methodist Church of Cordova, TN.  For over 5 years the troop has been active in the community, has monthly campouts to various locations, attends both summer and winter camp at Kia Kima in Arkansas, attends Camporee, and Scout Base.  They hold monthly merit badge classes and encourage the boys to continue working towards their advancements.

The Troop has a goal to develop boy leaders and have trained adult leaders who strive to provide an environment where the boys can not only lead, learn new skills and visit new places, but do this in a safe environment where their experiences will be fulfilling and enjoyable. 


Meetings:                            7:00 PM every Monday
                                                                                      
Venture Crew Meetings:      7:00 PM every 1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays


Location:                             Heartsong Methodist Church 
                                           800 North Houston Levee Road


Campouts:                           Various locations monthly


Summer Camp:                    Summer and winter camp at Kia Kima near Hardy ARK. We participate
                                            in Camporee at Camp Currier and Scout Base.


Size:                                     Average 30 Scouts


Uniform:                               Full BSA uniform Class A (no neckerchief) required


Fundraisers:                          Scouts are expected to participate in 1annual fundraiser,
                                            Popcorn sales, which helps fund troop operating expenses
                                            and boys individual accounts.  Plus the troop participates in many small

                                            fundraising activities.

Parents:                                Parents are expected to take an active role in their sons scouting years and 
                                            participate in troop activities by volunteering and supporting the troop.
                                            There are many opportunities for involvement.  You can work 1 hour a week 
                                            or more, but you will be called upon to assist at some time.

Campouts:                            Parents are always welcome on all campouts and are strongly encouraged to be 
                                            involved and participate. Scouting and Camping are fun.

Family campout:                  The troop has one family campout annually where families and siblings can get 
                                            together and experience what a monthly campout is like.
                                           This is typically a canoeing trip in ARK.


Philmont:                             Our Venture Crew has experienced Philmont, and Troop 365 will be taking a 
                                           crew as well the Summer of 2008.

Monthly Campouts:             Feature opportunities to work on scout skills such as orienteering, 
                                           rafting, marksmanship, climbing and canoeing.
